Residents of Greenville, South Carolina experienced a sunny and warm Saturday, but were hit with a stormy Sunday.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area on Sunday afternoon, cautioning residents of high winds, heavy rain, and lightning.

The storm caused power outages in some neighborhoods and led to several downed trees.

There were no reports of injuries.

Despite the stormy weather, many residents were relieved to see the rain as the area has been experiencing a drought.
