A student at a high school in Nova Scotia has been arrested after a double stabbing that injured two staff members and the suspect himself.
The incident occurred just minutes after the start of classes on the first day back after March break.
The school went into lockdown, and police arrived on the scene to take the student into custody.
The hold and secure lasted for over an hour, causing fear and panic among students and parents.
One student hid in a washroom stall, texting loved ones that she loved them.
The investigation is ongoing, and the school will reopen with guidance counselors and psychologists on-site to help students and staff cope with the traumatic event.
