Starting from Saturday, Statue City Cruises has resumed its New Jersey service and has extended the operating hours for ferry service to Ellis Island, according to an announcement from the agency.
The ferry service, which is the only authorized service to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, will now depart from Battery Park in Lower Manhattan and Liberty State Park in Jersey City between 9 AM and 3:30 PM every day.
The final return trips from Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty will be at 5 PM and 5:15 PM respectively.
This will provide visitors with more options to visit two of New York’s iconic landmarks.
The extended service hours have been welcomed by many, including a fourth-grade student who is excited about his upcoming trip to Ellis Island.
