Former Penn State Football Assistant Jerry Sandusky’s newest appeal has been denied by state prosecutors.
According to reports from Penn Live, prosecutors are dismissing Sandusky’s efforts to get a new trial, stating that his latest appeal is nothing more than a variation of a theme that has already been thoroughly litigated.
Sandusky’s defense argued during an early filing that newly discovered evidence showed police were coaching people into making accusations against him.
Sandusky was convicted in June of 2012 on child sex abuse charges and is currently serving a 30-year sentence.
