State Police are currently investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place in Santa Fe.
The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m.
this afternoon when the Santa Fe Police Department received a call regarding a suicidal man who had discharged a firearm at a residence on Calle Ojo Feliz.
Upon the arrival of the officers, they heard multiple gunshots coming from the scene.
Despite attempts to establish contact with the man, he refused to comply with the officers’ instructions to put the gun down.
In response to the imminent threat, at least one officer discharged their weapon, striking the individual.
The injured man was promptly transported to the hospital, although no information regarding his condition has been released at this time.
Fortunately, no officers were harmed during the incident.
