A man in southwest Houston was shot and killed while escorting a woman to her car, according to the Houston Police Department.
The victim has been identified as Carlos Escobar by family members.
He was walking his wife to her vehicle when two men in a light-colored sedan opened fire, hitting and killing him.
Escobar’s wife hid in the car and heard five gunshots.
Police are still searching for the suspects and investigating the case.
