South Florida Weather Forecast: Temperatures Heating Up Over Weekend, Chance of Spot Showers on Saturday

According to CBS4 News meteorologist Cindy Preszler, South Florida is in for a warm and sunny weekend with temperatures set to rise.

Saturday may see some spot showers, but overall the weekend looks dry and warm with Westerly winds bringing hot temperatures.

Sunday is expected to reach a high of 87 degrees, which would tie a record for this time of year.

Monday could come close to breaking the record with a high of 90 degrees.

However, a front is set to move through by the middle of next week, bringing in cooler air and lowering temperatures to near normal for this time of year in the lower 80s.

While there may be some rain in the Lake Okeechobee area, the front is expected to break apart and not bring significant rainfall.

Small crafts should exercise caution on the Atlantic Waters due to West winds up to 15 knots and Seas two to four feet.

Overall, South Florida residents can look forward to a warm and sunny weekend with temperatures heating up and a chance of spot showers on Saturday.
