Dozens of highways have been closed across southwest Minnesota due to a snowstorm.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is advising against travel on highways across the region, and multiple roads are currently closed.

Most major roads and highways in the southwest or Redwood Falls areas are currently closed, and many roads are covered in snow and experiencing whiteout conditions due to high winds.

As of the latest reports, there have been over 125 crashes in the state, with 101 of those being spinouts and 13 resulting in injuries.

Even further into South Dakota, there have been reports of stalled vehicles and jackknifed semis, with one incident involving a semi toppling a state trooper’s squad car.

The storm has caused multiple crashes throughout the day, making travel conditions hazardous.
