Sioux Falls, South Dakota – The Mayor’s youth council has been educating teenagers about government and community in Sioux Falls.

The council is made up of 12 teenagers from schools across the city who meet once a month to learn more about local government and connect with youth from different schools.

Led by a City team, each meeting looks different, with activities ranging from touring a Sioux Falls facility, meeting with city employees, and volunteering in the community.

The council aims to open up teens to new experiences and help shape tomorrow’s leaders.

Applications for the next council will open up this spring.
