Sioux Falls City Council Tries New Approach to Get Public Input

The Sioux Falls City Council has started a new initiative to gather feedback from the public on issues that concern them.

The first “coffee with counselors” event was held this morning, with low attendance, but those who were present reported enjoying the one-on-one conversation.

The meetings will take place every third Saturday of the month and will feature different members of the city council.

The idea behind the initiative is to allow residents to sit down with those who are in charge of the city and provide input on matters that affect their lives.

Residents of Sioux Falls can look forward to these events as an opportunity to meet the faces behind the city’s leadership.

Later tonight, Keloland Weekend News will feature a segment on why the counselors want to host these events for residents.
