Sioux Falls businesses are joining forces to help erase the school lunch debt of the Sioux Falls School District.
Severance Brewing Company and Casual Campfire Supply are leading the charge by donating a portion of their proceeds to the cause.
Severance Brewing will donate 10% of all proceeds and one dollar per pint sold between 4:30 and 7:30 PM at their event on Friday.
Meanwhile, Casual Campfire Supply will be selling its products at the fundraiser, with half of all proceeds benefiting Feeding South Dakota.
The goal of the event is to raise awareness about the issue and inspire a sustainable plan to prevent the school lunch debt from accumulating in the future.
The Sioux Falls School District announced in December 2022 that it had surpassed $100,000 in school lunch debt.
