Just as the team was rejoicing over their victory, attendees in the stands were startled by the sound of gunshots.
According to the police, a teenager had been wounded at a nearby gas station and sought refuge on the football field for safety. The school promptly followed protocol until authorities concluded that there was no active shooter present.
