Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that took place on Friday afternoon near the Lake Sherwood Apartments on London Crest Drive, Apopka Vineland Road.
Although the Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that there was a shooting, they have yet to disclose whether it was fatal or if there are multiple victims or suspects.
Deputies and Orange County Fire Rescue have been collecting evidence at the scene, including searching a white Kia.
Residents in the area are shaken up, with one stating that they won’t be able to sleep tonight.
The community is frustrated by the violence taking place in the area, with a shooting occurring just last Sunday.
A portion of Apopka Vineland Road near London Crest Drive has been blocked off, and the Sheriff’s Office has urged those in the area to find an alternative route.
