Good morning, everyone! We have Sarah Stanton from the St Joseph County Humane Society joining us today. Hi Sarah, how are you doing? I’m doing well, thank you. It’s a beautiful morning, isn’t it? Absolutely! It seems like Gary up above arranged for fantastic weather today. Yes, indeed.
We’re here to introduce a segment called Second Chance Pets, and our friend Nipy is the star of the show. Nipy is such a good boy, even though he’s only 11 months old. He still acts like a puppy, but you wouldn’t know it from how well-behaved and gentle he is. I think he’ll be easy to train.
On the car ride here, he was an angel. Absolutely! I just met him and he couldn’t stop slobbering all over me.
So, if you’re wearing a suit, you might want to change into something more suitable for running, because Nipy has a lot of energy. Now, what kind of dog is Nipy? Well, we typically say he’s a mixed breed. He’s probably a combination of various breeds, and sometimes they turn out to be something unexpected. We don’t conduct DNA tests at our shelter because they can be expensive. But, surprises can come in all shapes and sizes.
When you adopt a pet from the Humane Society, they come spayed or neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Nipy is wearing an American flag bandana today to celebrate Veterans Day. By the way, we have a special offer for all active duty military and veterans this month.
We’re waiving their adoption fees as a way of honoring them. Of course, they still need to go through the application process, but this is our way of showing our appreciation to our servicemen and women. In addition to Nipy, we also have many other dogs, cats, and even rabbits available for adoption at the Humane Society. There are so many events happening in michana, and now you have the opportunity to find a loving pet to add to your family. Nipy is an absolute sweetheart who will shower you with love.
