The Madness of March isn’t just limited to basketball, as it seems to have collided with the weather in some areas.
With winter coming to an end, many are looking forward to spring, but skiers are still celebrating the glorious conditions on the slopes.
The sunrise this morning in Utah was a beautiful sight, captured by David Daly and shared on the Utah’s Facebook Weather Authority page.
The sky was clear and the fresh snow on the mountains made for a picturesque scene.
Despite moderate air quality in Salt Lake City, there was plenty of sunshine to start the day.
The ski season has been excellent, with historic snowfalls approaching 700 inches in some areas.
However, the air quality is expected to worsen later today, with Haze building up in Salt Lake, Davis, and Cache County.
Active weather is expected on Sunday night into Monday, with lower elevation rain and higher elevation snow.
Temperatures statewide will be about five degrees cooler than normal today, but will warm up gradually.
With the equinox approaching on Monday, the first day of spring will officially begin in the afternoon.
While the forecast for the upcoming week is wet and temperamental, today’s sunshine is definitely worth enjoying.
