San Carlos homeowner, Valorie McGee, is speaking out about the city’s failure to address recurring flooding on her property.
McGee says that nearly every time it rains, water from the street rushes into her front yard, causing damage to her garage and posing a threat to her home.
Despite spending thousands of dollars on her own attempts to fix the problem, including installing a drain in her driveway and buying a pump, McGee says that the city has not taken any action to address the issue.
She has been calling and emailing various city departments for years but has yet to receive any real assistance.
In February, the city acknowledged the problem in an email to McGee, promising to respond and take necessary flood prevention measures in the event of significant rainfall.
However, during the latest storm, the promised action did not materialize.
McGee is frustrated with the city’s lack of response and is calling on them to address the issue, stating that the situation is unacceptable.
CBS AC Price has reached out to the city for comment but has not received a response as of yet.
