San Antonio Braces for Strong Storms and Cold Temperatures

Residents of San Antonio, Texas are being warned to brace for a potent cold front that will be moving through the region overnight.

According to meteorologist Mia Montgomery, the warm and muggy weather of today will soon give way to strong thunderstorms, damaging winds, and isolated instances of hail.

The gusts could reach upwards of 40 to 45 miles per hour, which will make it feel like the 30s on Friday morning.

The KSAT Weather Authority app is being recommended for residents to stay updated on the latest news and forecasts.

The storms are expected to hit the region between midnight and 2 A.M., with the possibility of lingering showers and thunderstorms throughout the day on Friday.

There may even be a few snowflakes mixing in parts of the Hill Country over the weekend, although no travel impacts are expected at this time.

Residents are advised to stay safe and avoid any unnecessary travel during the storm.
