In a thrilling Division Two matchup, the Saginaw Trojans took on the Hamady Hawks in a clash of flying teams.
The game got off to an exciting start with Quan Lowe Patman of the Trojans slamming home a jam in the first quarter.
However, the Hawks quickly responded with Omarion Blythe finishing with finesse on the baseline.
The game continued to be closely contested, with both teams making impressive plays.
Jacoby Boos showed off his athleticism with a basket and a foul, but Saginaw’s Taylor Lowry responded with a great pass to Lawrence Clark who managed to score despite contact.
In the end, it was the Trojans who emerged victorious with a strong second half performance.
They defeated the Hawks 78-58 and will now face Cadillac in Tuesday’s State quarterfinals.
