Tensions between the United States and Russia have intensified after a Russian fighter jet reportedly downed an American drone over the Black Sea.

The Pentagon has released footage of the incident, which shows the Russian fighter jet pouring fuel onto the drone before colliding with it.

The drone’s propeller was damaged, leading the US military to down it in the Black Sea and wipe all sensitive data.

US officials claim that the order for the aggressive action came from top Kremlin leaders, who are trying to send a message and back the US off.

Russia has denied the incident, while criticizing the US for conducting surveillance near its borders.

Meanwhile, Poland has announced that it will send fighter jets to help Ukraine fight Russia, the first NATO ally to take this step.

The situation sets up a delicate balance for the Biden administration’s steadfast support for Ukraine.
