King and Silvia’s confusion – on the question of Madeleine’s move to Sweden
Princess Madeleine and British-American financier Chris O’Neill have been living in Miami, USA with their three children since 2018.
Now, the royals have decided to move back to Sweden and Stockholm.
The move will take place at the end of the year.
“It was great news this week that Princess Madeleine is moving back to Sweden.
How do the King and Queen feel about it?” a reporter asked.
“Well, of course, it’s lovely.
We’re very happy and the children are looking forward to it.
They speak Swedish and love Sweden, and I hope the press will take that into consideration and help them adjust to their new life in Sweden.
They’re looking forward to school and being here, and we’re very happy about that,” the Queen replied.
“Did the King and Queen have a say in the decision?” the reporter asked again.
“I’m sorry? Did we have a say in what?” the King asked.
“The decision for Madeleine to move back,” the reporter clarified.
“Why would we? They have their own lives.
That’s usually the case in most families,” the King responded, appearing confused by the question.
It seems that while the royal couple is happy about Princess Madeleine’s return, they were not involved in the decision-making process.
