Rockdale Mother Seeks Answers for Daughter’s 24-Year-Old Cold Case
Linda Gonzalez, the mother of Sonya Wallace, a 15-year-old who disappeared 24 years ago, is still hoping to find answers about her daughter’s death.
Sonya left her home in Rockdale to mail a letter in 1999, but she never returned.
Her body was found in a creek bed in Williamson County three weeks later, and her death was ruled a homicide.
Despite efforts by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, the case remains unsolved.
Detective Mark McKinney believes that Sonya’s friends may have important information, as everyone who knew her described her as a friendly and caring person who had many friends.
He encourages anyone with information about the case to come forward, saying that it could bring the case to an end and give Linda the closure she needs.
Linda is still suffering from the loss of her daughter emotionally and physically, and she is pleading for anyone with information about the case to come forward.
She is hopeful that the case will eventually be solved and that she will finally find out what happened to her daughter.
