Rock Island Girls’ 38th Annual Invite held at Rocky Stadium saw 12 teams competing in various events.
The highlight of the event was the 400-meter race, won by Geneseo senior Phoebe Schumacher, who crossed the finish line in one minute to claim the gold.
In the 300 hurdles, Maple Leafs athlete Amy Worth won in 46 seconds, securing more first-place points for her team.
Sterling’s Della Block won the mile with a time of 5 34-68, pulling away from the field in the final 200 meters.
The throwers’ four by 100 race was a fan favorite, won by Moline, who also received a prize cake, which they did not share with disappointed Corey Cuffler.
Overall, it was a great night of competition for these lady track stars.
