A jewelry store in Brooklyn has been hit by a robber who made off with over $200,000 worth of jewels.

Police suspect that the same robber targeted the store twice.

The first heist occurred in early February, after which the store owner updated her security system.

However, the thief still managed to evade the new measures and return to the store on Tuesday afternoon.

He reportedly waved hello to the employees before demanding jewelry and threatening their lives.

The store owner says her employees are now shaken and terrified.

Police believe the suspect may be connected to at least two more jewelry store heists across New York City since January.

Despite this, overall robberies in the city are down two percent, according to the latest figures.
