Additionally, in 2022, the RNC registered 4 million more Republican voters, which, based on turnout, would have secured the Electoral College. It’s true that we struggle with messaging.
Our candidates have lost their way on issues such as abortion. In Virginia, Democrats spent millions on abortion advertisements, and we failed to respond.
The same happened in Kentucky. The RNC doesn’t handle state races, being a federal committee, but we need to improve our messaging to combat lies and inaccuracies. We must not allow Democrats to define us. As a suburban woman, I understand this.
We need to address lies about denying life-saving care for miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies. If we ignore these lies, they become the truth.
The RNC is leading the way in messaging on this issue. We saw great messaging from many candidates on the stage last night, and we need to continue this in order to win in 2024. There have been reports that you encounter difficulties with candidates who do not always follow your advice or direction. Is that accurate? Yes, candidates have their own pollsters and campaign managers, and they craft their own messages.
However, as the suburban woman who leads the party, I reached out to candidates before the 2022 election. I, alongside Kellyanne Conway, stressed the importance of addressing adoption and pregnancy crisis centers, as these were significant issues for our party.
We needed to confront this topic head-on. If we ignore it, we will lose because Democrats will define us. Democrats hold extreme views on abortion, supporting it up until birth.
