Crews are searching for a missing woman who is presumed dead in Warren County, Mississippi.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace has stated that searching for a victim in a moving body of water adds a different challenge to the operation.
The Big Black River, which is currently being searched, has a rapidly rising and falling water level with a lot of debris present.
Due to the swift currents and debris, it is not safe for dive teams to enter the water in most places.
Sheriff Pace stated that while they hope to locate the woman’s body as soon as possible for her family, there is no way to predict how long the search will take.
The Warren County and Department of Wildlife are assisting the Hans County Sheriff’s Department in the investigation.
