Three veterans who were severely wounded in Afghanistan discovered a new direction for their lives through music. They decided to showcase their talents and their inspiring story was featured in Delray Beach. The band, known as The Resilient, is primarily composed of injured veterans. Despite their challenging circumstances, they all share a passion for music and formed the band as a way to continue pursuing their love for it.
The band, which also includes two civilian members, aims to spread a message of resilience and the ability to overcome life’s obstacles through their songs. They touch on military experiences but primarily focus on themes related to life and how to navigate through its struggles.
The band’s name serves as a reminder to keep pushing forward, even during difficult times. Playing on Veterans Day holds a special significance for The Resilient, as they find fulfillment and purpose in performing. They currently play approximately 20 shows a year..
