Republican lawmaker, Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin, criticized Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen over her comments on spending.
In an interview on “Varney & Co.”, Senator Johnson criticized President Biden’s proposed budget, stating that it increases taxes, spending, and deficits.
He also blamed Congress for routinely voting for deficit spending, which he claims is the root cause of the banking crisis.
Senator Johnson believes that fiscal controls need to be put in place to restrain future spending and that individual appropriation bills should be brought up for debate.
He disagrees with Secretary Yellen’s claim that the proposed spending will not create a lot of inflation, stating that she is “completely wrong”.
The senator also commented on the potential departure of Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers, stating that if a player is not committed to the team, it’s time for him to move on.
