Valley residents can expect a dry day today, but those headed up north should be prepared for potential rain.

The high country may experience a slight chance of rain, with snowfall predicted as well.

The weather is expected to take a turn by the middle of next week, with an 80% chance of rain in the Valley on Wednesday.

Thunderstorms are also possible, with snow levels dropping to 5500 feet and up to 2 feet of snow expected in the high country.

Winds are predicted to pick up across the state, with gusts of up to 60 miles per hour in some areas.

Valley residents should stay dry until Tuesday, when the rain could impact both the morning and evening commute.

The rain is expected to taper off by Thursday, but the snow will continue up north.
