Quad Cities to Experience Temperature Rebound as Spring Arrives
The Quad Cities region can expect a temperature rebound today as the sun rises to provide plenty of sunshine and calmer winds.
Despite a chilly start to the morning, temperatures are expected to rise to around 40 degrees by this afternoon.
Winds will shift to the South tonight, bringing in more cloud cover but also milder temperatures with lows around 30 degrees.
Tomorrow marks the first day of astronomical spring and temperatures are expected to cooperate, reaching around 53 degrees for highs on Monday.
While southerly winds may pick up in the afternoon, this will still be a welcome relief from the recent cold snap.
However, the region should watch out for some rain chances this week, with light showers possible as early as Tuesday evening.
This may continue into Wednesday and Thursday, with the possibility of more widespread shower activity and even some storms on Thursday.
Despite this, temperatures are expected to remain mild, with highs reaching around 60 degrees on Wednesday.
The region will also need to keep an eye on a system set to arrive on Thursday and fine tune the details as the week progresses.
For now, the Quad Cities can enjoy the warmer weather and look forward to a pleasant start to spring.
