A powerful tornado touched down in Montebello, California on Wednesday morning, causing significant damage to several industrial buildings and injuring at least one person.
The EF1-rated twister, which had winds ranging from 86 to 110 miles per hour, ripped the roofs off of multiple buildings and caused damage to cars in the area.
The tornado was on the ground for approximately two to three minutes and traveled about half a mile, with the damage path measuring 50 yards wide.
Despite the destruction caused by the tornado, witnesses were in awe of the incredible sight.
The National Weather Service is continuing to monitor the situation, and residents are being urged to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions.
