A potential tornado caused significant damage to cars in Montebello.

The severe wind event resulted in damage to at least seven major buildings, with mostly rooftop damage reported.

In addition, large sliding doors were blown off of some of the buildings.

The incident caused a lot of broken windows and debris from rooftops was seen on the cars, some of which sustained significant damage.

Thankfully, nobody was hurt during the event.

However, it was noted that had someone been outside during the wind event, the flying debris would have been strong enough to cause serious injury.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Maple Drive and Washington in Montebello, where a lot of plywood was also removed from a nearby box company’s rooftop.

Despite the damage, the incident could have been much worse if people had not taken shelter inside the buildings during the severe wind event.
