There is a heavy police presence in Oakland City Hall area at the moment. James Torres from KTVS is reporting live from the scene.
The location is on San Pablo Avenue near 16th Street, close to Frankle Gawa Plaza City Hall and the Broadway Corridor. The Oakland Ice Center is also nearby. The police are responding to an incident involving one car, which is not a police vehicle.
The doors of the car are open, and officers and investigators are collecting evidence. It has been confirmed that one person has been shot and killed, but the details surrounding the incident are still unknown.
San Pablo Avenue is closed in one direction, and other streets leading to the area are blocked off by police. Motorists are advised to be cautious and expect road closures for the next few hours.
