Police in York Region, Ontario are investigating the disappearance of a 53-year-old lawyer from Markham, Isabella Dan.

She was last seen on March 3 and was reported missing by her colleagues after failing to show up for work and not contacting any of her friends.

The case has now been turned over to the York police’s homicide and missing persons unit.

According to police, Dan vanished without a trace, and the authorities are appealing to the community for any information that might help in the investigation.

Meanwhile, Canada’s Immigration Minister Sean Fraser has announced new support for Ukrainians fleeing to Canada.
