In breaking news from East Texas, the police chief of Payne Springs and one of the officers have been arrested on charges of drug delivery and money laundering.
According to Henderson County Sheriff Bodie Hill House, April Meadows, the police chief, and officer Jonathan Hutchinson were arrested after a search warrant was executed at Meadows’ home in Kaufman County.
The search was conducted by Henderson County deputies and other agencies to find illegal narcotics.
As of now, Hutchinson is being held on a $3 million bond.
The investigation is ongoing, and more information is expected to come out soon.
