In the midst of high school football playoffs, two Central Oregon teams competed fiercely in a Friday night game. The undefeated IMC Champs, the Mountain View Cougars, hosted the Hillsboro Spartans in a thrilling quarterfinal match.
The Spartans put up a strong fight, but the Cougars proved to be too formidable. With a final score of 41-20, Mountain View emerged victorious and will now face Silverton on the road. This upcoming week will determine if they secure a spot in the state championship. In another part of town, Summit clashed with the Lebanon Warriors. The Storm triumphed convincingly with a 49-4 victory, securing a place in the semifinals for the second consecutive year.
