Male student shoots 2 faculty members at Denver’s East High School Federal Reserve Chair Powell: Rate Cuts Not Currently Planned Despite Tightening Financial Conditions

Plano City Council is currently holding a meeting to discuss new restrictions on short-term rentals after a recent shooting incident outraged neighbors.

The proposed changes include different zoning definitions and stronger nuisance ordinances.

Many Plano residents have been voicing their concerns for months, claiming that some short-term rentals are attracting crime and disrupting their otherwise quiet neighborhoods.

Homeowners in the Oakwood Glen neighborhood, where the shooting incident occurred, are especially frustrated and are urging the council to pass an ordinance banning short-term rentals from taking root in their communities.

The meeting is the first official conversation on the topic, and opponents of short-term rentals are expected to speak to make their voices heard.
