Phoenix Police Recover Second Body of Missing Kayaker from Salt River
Phoenix police have announced that a second body has been recovered from the Salt River over the weekend, and they believe it to be one of the missing kayakers who disappeared last week.

According to eyewitness Jose Villalobos, the Salt River can often be very dangerous, with poor conditions for boaters and swimmers.

Last Sunday, Shane Coats and Ryan Jacobs were seen kayaking on the river before they went missing.
The first body was found near 19th Avenue on Saturday evening, and it was identified as Shane Coats.

The second body was recovered on Sunday afternoon near 71st Avenue, and police believe it to be Ryan Jacobs.

The Maricopa County Medical Examiner is still working to confirm the identity of the second body and determine the cause of death.
Local residents expressed their condolences and sadness over the incident, with many expressing their wish that the kayakers could have been found alive.

The investigation into the deaths is ongoing, and Phoenix police are urging caution for anyone using the Salt River for recreational purposes.
