Late last night, a pedestrian was hit and killed by a Jeep while crossing the 7400 block of North Mesa Street, close to Rimcon.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries.
According to the driver, they did not see the pedestrian initially when they were crossing the road.
The police report states that the victim was not crossing at a designated crosswalk.
The investigation is ongoing.
