Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBAU) Professor Joe Cole has been terminated after teaching at the university’s West Palm Beach campus for 21 years.
Cole stated that he is no longer allowed to even step foot on the campus from his Jupiter home.
According to Cole, he was terminated after a parent complained about his messaging, and he was accused of indoctrinating students.
Despite overwhelming support from his students on social media, Cole is now fighting back and exploring all legal options with the help of a lawyer.
However, PBAU, a private university, can fire professors without cause, according to their employee handbook.
As of now, PBAU has not commented on Cole’s termination, and he hopes to find another university that sees his syllabus as a strength and will give him another teaching opportunity.
