One Person Killed in Winston-Salem Crash Early This Morning
Police in Winston-Salem are investigating a crash that killed one person early this morning.
The incident happened on the ramp to I-70 for East from I-40 West, formerly known as Highway 311.
A single car was involved in the accident, and the fire department confirmed on Twitter that one person was killed.
Details about the cause of the crash and whether anyone else was inside the car at the time are still unknown.
The accident caused significant delays for several hours this morning.
In another incident, a car crashed into a utility pole in Greensboro, resulting in the closure of part of Spring Garden Street between Merritt and Fraternity Drives.
Images from the scene show the car flipped on its side, but there is no word yet on whether anyone was injured or what caused the crash.
