hospital AFTER A FIRE BROKE OUT AT A SOUTH KANSAS CITY APARTMENT ON FRIDAY NIGHT.
According to reports, firefighters responded to the scene at around 8:30 PM to find flames and smoke coming from an apartment building located on East 83rd and Forest, just east of Troost.
The fire was eventually put out, but not before one person became trapped in a hallway.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the fire.
No word has been given on their current condition.
At this time, it is unclear what caused the fire, or if anyone else was injured in the incident.
