One person has died after a car crashed into a creek in South Milwaukee.
The incident began as a police chase in the early hours of the morning on East Layton Avenue and Cut Away.
Cudahy police were pursuing the car due to speeding, swerving, and improper registration display.
The driver had a warrant out for their arrest issued by probation and parole.
The chase lasted around three and a half miles with top speeds reaching 100 miles an hour, but the police stopped chasing due to the dangerousness of the situation.
About 40 minutes later, South Milwaukee police located the car down in the water off North Chicago Avenue.
The badly damaged car was pulled out of the ravine from Oak Creek down below.
The 23-year-old driver was found dead.
The crash is being investigated by South Milwaukee police, but Cudahy police are asking anyone with information about what may have led up to this crash to contact them.
