Oklahoma County Deputy in Critical Condition After Crashing into Gate
An Oklahoma County deputy is in critical condition after crashing into a metal gate on the campus of Oklahoma Christian School and Life Church in Edmond.
The incident happened on Back In 35 and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The gate hit the deputy’s neck and shoulder, leaving him in critical condition.
Edmond police and several bystanders, who were watching a basketball game, rushed to help care for him.
The deputy was the only one in the vehicle, and some of the basketball fans were the ones who called 911.
He was taken to OU Health, where he is being treated for his injuries.
Law enforcement from all over the metro showed up to the hospital to show their support for their fallen brother.
The incident is still under investigation.
