However, camping is still not permitted due to safety concerns.

California State Park has canceled around 900 reservations through April.

Businesses in the area are struggling as they heavily rely on campers.

There is still no specific date for camping to be allowed again, but the Memorial Day weekend is hoped to provide a much-needed boost to the area.
