A fire broke out in a North Charlotte apartment complex early Thursday morning, but has since been brought under control.

Fire officials reported that the fire started at around 2 a.m.

on Wynbrook Way near I-85 and Graham Street.

While two people suffered minor injuries, no fatalities were reported.

The Red Cross is now helping families who have been displaced from their homes due to the fire.

One family, who lived in the unit where the fire is believed to have started, lost everything in the blaze, including their pets.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
