The Norfolk St.
Patrick’s Day Parade is making a comeback this year after a three-year hiatus.
The annual parade, which has been a tradition in Ocean View since 1968, was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19.
Last year’s event was also called off due to rain.
The parade, which features local marching bands, law enforcement, and businesses, will take place on Granby Street and cover a distance of one and a half miles.
It is a source of pride for the community, with past Grand Marshals including government officials and local leaders.
The event is also a tradition for the Decker family, with Peter Decker serving as MC for 15 years.
Cars have already started staking out spots for tomorrow’s parade.
