Snowfall Totals Vary Across Massachusetts Following Nor’easter

The recent nor’easter that hit Massachusetts resulted in varying amounts of snowfall throughout the state.

While areas in the hills and Berkshires received close to 3 feet of snow, the lower Pioneer Valley saw lower amounts due to a mixture of rain and snow.

In Chicopee, which includes the Westover Air Reserve base, 4.4 inches of snow was recorded from the storm.

So far in March, the area has received 8.9 inches of snow, which is average for this time of year.

However, the total snowfall for the winter so far is 28.9 inches, which is lower than the average of 49.5 inches for the Westover area.
