A Newton woman is speaking out about a terrifying incident that occurred on Monday, March 6th.

Jessie Harvey says that she was leaving a Dollar General store when she locked eyes with Tyrece Lewis, the father of her children, who she had a no-contact order against.

Lewis attacked her with a knife, causing her to suffer from multiple stab wounds.

Harvey was able to make it back inside the store before collapsing, and she was eventually flown to a hospital in Des Moines.

Lewis is now a suspect in the stabbing, and Newton police have a warrant out for his arrest.

Harvey is pleading for anyone who knows where he is to come forward, as she and her children are in danger until he is behind bars.

Court documents reveal that Lewis had a prior incident on March 4th, where he broke into Harvey’s home and was charged with burglary.
