A deadly shooting at an apartment complex pool in Newhall has left two people dead, a teenage boy and an adult male.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting took place at The Village Apartment Homes complex on Silverado Street on Saturday morning.
Investigators believe the shooting is gang-related, and innocent people in the community are now terrified.
Children in a nearby hot tub witnessed the double murder.
Both victims were Hispanic and had been shot multiple times in the upper body.
Witnesses reported seeing a male adult reach over the fence of the pool and unload his firearm before running in a northerly direction towards the parking lot.
Two persons of interest were later detained in a vehicle matching the description provided by witnesses.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information should contact the LA County Sheriff’s Department.
