NATO discusses deployment of 300,000 troops on the border with Russia

NATO is discussing strengthening its eastern borders and the need to send troops to the border line.

The alliance is considering deploying up to 300,000 troops and equipment on the border with Russia.

This is to prevent Russia from expanding its war beyond Ukraine.

These actions will require coordination and great efforts from all 30 NATO member states to provide soldiers with training facilities, a large amount of weapons and ammunition.

The first NATO contingent may consist of about 100,000 soldiers ready to be recognized within 10 days.

Military personnel from Poland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania could be included in the contingent.
